Neighborhood Theatre

LOGO DESIGN | BRAND IDENTITY | WEARABLES

The Neighborhood Theatre in Charlotte’s arts and entertainment district has seen lots of changes over its 75 year history. Originally The Astor Movie Theatre, it fell into disrepair during the 1970s but was converted to a live music venue in the late 1990s. Years later under new management, Adam Roth Design Inc. had the opportunity to give this longtime Charlotte favorite venue a new look. Colors and graphics were executed by playing off of some of the existing unique exterior features, and typefaces were inspired by the original theater’s era. A secondary companion logo, Turntable, was created for the bar/dj area. In the wake of the Covid 19 outbreak, the venue has faced a difficult period. Support can be given on this GoFundMe link.
